The Science Break GCSE Science course combines weekly face-to-face teaching with a structured online learning programme. It is for students who need an effective plan.
Students work though the course in small, manageable steps and build knowledge and skills lesson by lesson, topic by topic.
Classes are used to teach topics students find most difficult and to develop exam technique that often makes the difference between one grade and the next.
Between lessons, videos, assessments and a revision tracker keep students on track, so they always know what to focus on next.
Parents can dip in to see their child's progress at any time.

FAQs
Which year group is this for?
The lessons are for Year 11s sitting exams in Summer 2027. The classes are currently planned for AQA Triple Science students but a class for Combined Science will be opened if there is demand.
Do you cover all three sciences?
Yes - a schedule of topics will be published in September that covers areas of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Key topics that are commonly assessed or are tricky (or both) will be covered as well as exam technique.
Do you cover all exam boards?
No - the classes are very specifically for AQA GCSE Science. While content does apply other exam boards, the lessons are designed for AQA, to exactly match their specification
Is this for Higher Tier?
Yes, the lessons are planned to develop the knowledge and skills needed for the Higher Tier paper
How is this different to school lessons?
The class has maximum of 10 students and there is one aim - to maximise exam grades. This is done by learning the big topics well, looking at common topics and on exam technique. To the point teaching with a little and often, with a sharp focus on the specification.
Can the students ask questions?
Of course! The more interaction the better, however it is not a requirement - progress and understanding will be checked by a variety of methods.
How is this different from one-to-one tuition?
The programme is designed to support students throughout the course, not just during the lesson. It is a complete course and gives access to a quality, experienced teacher, at a reasonable cost.
One-to-one tuition can be excellent for individual support and is often the right choice for many students. This programme, however, provides a structured GCSE Science course that supports students throughout the year.
The entire programme has been designed from the ground up to help students prepare for their GCSE Science exams.
What if a student misses a lesson?
Students should catch up using the online lessons and resources, and the revision plan will show exactly what needs to be completed before the next class. If a lesson is cancelled by the teacher, an alternative live online class will be arranged.
Are there lesson during school holidays?
No lesson in school holidays - the classes will run during term time only, but will include the first Saturday of the holiday. A full schedule of classes will be published.
Do you do trial lessons?
A student can join a single class for £9.99 for the hour. This will be deducted off the first monthly payment if the student continues. It is non-refundable if the student decides not to continue.
What is your background?
